Most companies have a formal mission statement,
and ours is listed above. Having a mission statement is a common
business practice, but in my experience, this is not a replacement
for having an actual vision and purpose for
the business. HealthyAir was founded with a real purpose -
to create healthier breathing environments for each and every
customer. We feel that we are fulfilling that purpose one customer
at a time. If you will read on, I would like to share a little
more background on how it all got started.
Message from the President
I have suffered from chronic allergies most
of my life. Going from doctors to allergists, getting shots
and medication, I knew there had to be a better way to relieve
my discomfort and symptoms.
After months of research, I found the answer- controlling the environment.
The National Jewish Medical & Research
Center, the nation's #1 respiratory hospital and research facility for the
past 5 years, states that "if you control your environment, you can control
your allergies." This means controlling not only the dust and other airborne
contaminants, but controlling the humidity and providing plenty of additional
ventilation.
Whether at the office, in your car, at school, or outdoors, you are spending
most of your day in an unclean breathing environment. Our home should be a
place where our respiratory system can rest and recover. We believe
that not only should you have a comfortable home during the day, but also the
cleanest possible breathing environment for your body to rest and recover during
the night.
Unfortunately, the American Lung Association states that the air in your home
can be 5 to 70 times more polluted than the air you breathe outside. This is
where HealthyAir can help. This is our true vision and mission in the world.
The first step is to survey your indoor air. Only after a problem is found,
can the right solution be determined. And the right solution for you may not
be the right solution for your neighbor. Every home is unique and every solution
is geared towards providing our customers with real solutions for their environment.
