Bio: Stephen Andrews
Born and raised in Atlanta, Stephen Andrews has spent the last
33 years in the home service industry, providing heating and
air products and services, environmental testing, remediation,
consulting and manufacturing of air purification systems.
His first company, RS Andrews Services,
grew to become one of the nation’s
largest HVAC service providers, with over 100 vehicles serving
the greater Atlanta
area. RS Andrews Services was known for its excellent customer
service. Many of the customers held home-warranty contracts,
which covered major appliances as well as traditional HVAC
service.
During this time, Mr. Andrews pursued his interest in environmental
concerns and launched Andrews Environmental in 1988, a company
that employed 15 people when it was sold in 1994.
Mr. Andrews served on the Board of Directors for DeKalb
College.
During this time, RS Andrews Services donated classroom
space to the growing college and also provided training
and employment
to many of the graduates. Mr. Andrews also shared his experience
with the community by serving on the Board of Directors
for Contractors 2000 – an international organization of over 250 service
contractors. During this time, he developed friendships and professional
relationships with service contractors in many different areas.
Around this time, Mr. Andrews developed environmental sensitivities
and allergies. Utilizing his broad experience and extensive
contacts, he began researching indoor air quality to look
for ways
to
improve
health. He subsequently founded HealthyAir in September
2001. HealthyAir
provides indoor air quality assessments, including visual
inspections and testing for mold, radon, lead and asbestos
and makes recommendations
for creating a healthy breathing environment.
But he did not stop at inspections and assessments. In
March of 2002, Mr. Andrews became a co-founder of a
manufacturing company, Air and Energy Products.
To date, this company manufactures

different sizes and variations of whole house dehumidification,
ventilation and air purification equipment.
With a personal interest, over 30 years of experience,
and more than 1500 home and office inspections, Mr.
Andrews has
become
one of Atlanta’s leading experts in indoor air quality.
He holds a State Conditioned Air License, advanced certificates
for Mold Testing, has completed Continuing Education courses
in Mold Testing at Georgia Tech, and is a Certified Mold Remediator.
Mr. Andrews lives in Atlanta with his wife, Connie.
They have two children and three grandchildren.
