Services - Mold Cleaning and Encapsulating

Building materials that have mold growth may sometimes need to be removed in order to remediate, but many times they can be treated in place. This type of remediation includes a thorough cleaning of the affected area with a fungicide designed to kill existing mold colonies and inhibit future growth. If desired, the areas can also be encapsulated with a material that will prevent mold growth altogether.

As with any remediation project, a plan for controlling the humidity in the affected area is recommeded. Water damage is responsible for many mold problems, but unregulated humidity in basements and crawl spaces is a more common problem that needs to be addressed, particularly if you live in a hot and humid climate.
