Why Should I Clean Mold?

Authorities such as the CDC, USA EPA, Canada’s CHHC and the US Institute of Medicine all agree that mold growth and associated dampness indoors is not acceptable and should be removed. You should clean mold to protect your home or office.

Mold is allergenic, infectious or toxic. Although mold can be brought into a dormant stage through dehydration of its food sources, when it gets wet again it can become active up to twenty years. Dormant or dead mold leaves a protein behind that can cause health problems. Spores can aerosol simply by walking over carpets and air movement from the air conditioning system. It migrates through electrical openings, air duct cut-outs and microscopic cracks in walls, floors and ceilings. Efforts to clean mold, or full remediation, are the safest ways to help secure your home.
